Mildreds delivers delicious dishes with a big whack of flavour and defies the boring stereotype so often associated with vegetarian dining. Their ‘no messing about’ attitude to vegetarian and vegan food has good grub at the very heart of what they do.
The simple and cosy décor of the window table where we dined last week had wild flowers on the wooden tabletop and made for a perfect place to watch others go by. From this spot we enjoyed the roasted sweet potato and red pepper lasagne from the specials board along with the energising detox salad. Oh, and of course a side of sweet potato chips (not so detoxifying) dunked in insanely good vegan mayonnaise.
The food with Asian, European and Middle Eastern influence speaks for itself. Mildreds is not only a great Vegetarian restaurant, it is a great restaurant (full stop). So say goodbye to flavourless, dreary vegetarian dining, and enjoy top notch eating here.
