Duncan Sambrook and his team let a few special guests in (including some lucky Story PR-ers) to check out the new developments and hear about a incredible few months for the Brewery.
After making sure every Sambrook’s beer had been diligently and repeatedly taste tested, here’s what we learned:
Pale Ale – Sambrook’s first craft keg mixes continental lagering techniques with good old British brewing. Naturally carbonated, the golden, crisp beer will be popping up in a pubs around London as cask beer continues it rise in the world.
Brewery Shop – Offering the full Sambrook’s range, from Porter to Wandle, as well as gift hampers with perfectly matched food.
A few tips straight from the brewer’s mouth:
– the Bacon Jam from Eat 17 may sound mad, but is an absolute must try whilst supping a Junction Ale.
– a generous pack of Mr Trotter’s Great British Pork Scratching with Wandle
– thick slices of *** goats cheese alongside the some Pale Ale
The Bar – Overlooking the gleaming metal of the brewery below, the bar will now host tours and events throughout the year. Beer always taste best when only metres from where it all comes together.
Awards, Awards, Awards – Winning World’s Best Bitter (under 5% ABV) was a great start, then being named Best Ale at the Quality Drink Awards topped it off. Well done Sambrook’s!
