In the bustling Southbank thoroughfare, guests were acquainted with a veritable plethora of verdant hessian sacks bursting with fragrant herbs, from the conventional to the exotic. One of Britain’s leading herb experts, Jekka McVicar, enlightened the party with tips and recipe suggestions as to how to bring the best out of the selection of well and lesser known shrubs, whilst the group sipped on basil scented mojitos and lavender lemonade.  Ed Kimber and other members of The Great British Bake-Off’s elite mingled with Britain’s most innovative food bloggers whilst indulging in miniature minted salmon and broad bean canapes amongst other herb infused gastronomic delights. The ‘Festival of Neighborhood’ continues until the 8th September.
